this week its all about caravans!  After some considerable umming and arrhing we decided that in order to ever escape work and the daily stresses of having a business in our home we needed a bolt hole, a home from home, our own little space somewhere far away from work. Blackpool has a reputation and its not a very good one, however it wears its gaudy and tacky flashing badge with pride and seems quite uninterested in any of its finer points.  We love Blackpool.  We are a little bit scared of it too and you do need to have your wits about you once you get out of your car, but mainly we love it.  Every time we go we have the same conversation about how much potential it has to be the perfect seaside day trip.......if only there weren't so many nightclubs in full swing at 10am on...

....stairs, hats and budgies (yes we like to keep the mix interesting!) Mainly our working day consists of packaging, dealing with customer enquiries, marketing plans and rushing to the post office.  We cant even pretend for a second that we just float about all day being creative and doing cool things, we wish we did. However we love being inspired and we are a bit like addicts to colour and visual loveliness. When we can find a spare 5 mins to feed our habit we will collect and squirrel them away like secret treasures.

Almost six years ago Modo Creative was just a simmering thought, a collection of colours and a scrawled list of ideas at the back of a 2006 diary. It would be 2 years and a couple of babies later before the determination would set in to really make a go of it. Fuelled by the need to find a career that would fit around a young family and a newly found confidence in our ideas we started looking for a platform to get started with. notonthehighstreet.com appeared one day in a google search and we applied immediately. oh right...so this is what it looks like from the blogging platform does it?  Crikey.... feeling quite shy actually...er.....cough cough..... Well.  We plan to shake off our shyness quite quickly and fully embrace blogging.  We love a good blog, infact we would almost go as far as to say we quickly lose interest in a company or brand if they do not have a blog.  Hence our slight speechlessness and excitement at finally arriving in the land of blog. In order to not get carried away we are planning on an 'occasional' blog. We plan to bring you lovely offerings...
